Canada’s laws prohibit discrimination in the workplace. Sexual minorities are protected by those laws. Many of Canada’s leading corporations have enacted pro-active policies knowing that companies that respect and promote diversity tend to be the companies that thrive. Cities that promote diversity cite that diversity as being one of the factors that explains their prosperity.
This training will introduce the basic concepts of diversity and how to make your work environment more inclusive and supportive for employees who belong to sexual minorities. The Institute has the resources and experience to advise, to propose and to evaluate concrete initiatives that you may choose to implement to reduce homophobia.
