Format: Small group online
Experience level: intermediate.
Clinicians should have had some training in trans-affirmative approaches and some clinical experience working with gender diverse individuals who present with mental health challenges.
This training focuses on the assessment of gender diverse people who present significant mental health challenges (BPD, DID, ASD, psychotic disorders, etc.).
Through the use of clinical vignettes / role plays, we will explore the best approaches to support this clientele not only in the initial needs assessment, but throughout the transition process.
Working with these clients can bring up many questions and sometimes even a feeling of isolation among many clinicians who sometimes feel uncertain in regards to their clients’ transition related requests.
The day will be developed according to the participants’ needs and areas of practice.
